The goal of this project is to replace the old out of lifetime distributed control system (DCS) Contronic E (H&B) with the belonging Operator IT (OIT from ABB) HMI system with a new total safety-integrated process control system in order to be well positioned for the future next 25 years in terms of technology, service and support. Copy the current control strategy from Contronic E to the new DCS, the new DCS system has to be on the same level of automation as it is currently or better.
