Omschrijving

The trams of the Combino type (13/14G) were delivered by Siemens to GVB in 2003 and 2004 with outside visible line- and destination displays. Line- and destination displays refer to the displays that are visible from the outside of the tram. The functions of the displays are to indicate the line number and the final destination. These must function properly at all times. The LCDs are now starting to shine through and fade, printed circuit boards have been damaged by UV and the insulation of cabling has deteriorated. Replacement is necessary to keep the Combino trams operational in the second part of their life, i.e. until at least 2030, with an extension until 2035
