The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is responsible for publishing a site characterization package for end users to prepare bids for a permit tender to build and operate a wind farm. These works consist of an archaeological desk study (phase I) and an archaeological assessment of geophysical data (phase II) and geotechnical data (phase III) for various wind farm zones in the Dutch North Sea (for example TNW: Obstructions TNW ยท Offshorewind RVO).
The starting date of the contract is scheduled for Q3 2022, the end date for Q4 2026. In Q4 2022, a first draft delivery is expected of the desk study for the Nederwiek WFZ, other desk studies (for about 6 areas) will follow later. The archaeological assessment of geophysical and geotechnical data (for about 3 areas) will follow the surveys commissioned by RVO.
Publication of the tender will take place around the 24th of June.
